Joseph Shrock is a true businessman. He is proud that the Shrock family of companies are firmly rooted in Christian faith and Amish tradition. His companies uphold a code of values including respect of others, integrity, customer focus, and having fun throughout the process! His vision for his companies is to be a place where gratitude, loyalty and a positive attitude is expressed and where daily challenges become opportunities. He desires of himself and his team to use our God given talents to be of service to our families, our customers, and our community.
Joseph Shrock began in the building industry as a young teenager with his father, Melvin. He officially acquired the family company in 1984 with a goal of transforming it into a first class, superior custom construction company. Joseph Shrock soon developed a reputation second to none for delivering quality results on time. He transformed their already successful wood framing business into a load bearing metal framing enterprise and founded the Shrock Prefab Company. Shrock Prefab continues as a premier fabricator for panelization work across the country. Projects include hotels, military barracks, dormitories, and even stadiums throughout the country.
Joseph saw a need in north central Ohio for top-notch restoration company. He believed that a restoration company would be a wonderful fit with the already successful Shrock Premier Custom Construction. After researching Rainbow International, Joseph was highly impressed with their world class customer service, the latest in restoration technology and continuing education, certification in all areas of restoration, and a solid reputation. Shrock Restoration – Rainbow International of North Central Ohio was founded in the early 2000’s and is now a leading force in the restoration of homes and businesses after the unfortunate devastation of fire, water or natural disasters.
Joseph believes that business is an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in our community. He truly believes that his success is due to putting God first, his dedicated team, and his amazing customers who continue to put their trust in the Shrock family of companies.
Joe Freewalt has over 15 years experience in custom commercial construction, residential construction, restoration & cleaning. Joe was Rainbow Restoration of North Central Ohio’s first employee. He was hands on all the work including cleaning, restoration, rebuilding and working with local insurance agents and adjusters. Since then Shrock Restoration’s franchise of Rainbow International has grown each and every year. Joe and the staff strive to make Rainbow Restoration of North Central Ohio the most quality driven restoration company around.
Joe has gained invaluable experience on how different restoration projects can be. Each one can provide a unique set of challenges. Joe has spent many hours in the classroom learning new skills and current methods through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, IICRC to provide our customers with the best and most update service. Joe is certified through the IICRC in Water Restoration, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odor Remediation, Carpet cleaning and Mold Remediation.
Joe has lived in Holmes county his entire life. He has committed himself to understanding and doing quality restoration work.
Whitney is a caring professional who lifts the burden of paperwork and other necessary details to quickly turn your trauma into a beautifully restored project. She is there to answer all of your questions and wants you to know that Shrock Restoration – Rainbow International of North Central Ohio is on your side working to restore your home or business to better than before condition.
Whitney has been helping clients for seven years to understand what they can expect as the project progresses to completion. Whitney deals with assisting the crews on ordering needed materials, scheduling, and coordinating the specific requirements for each project. Whitney is also an experienced liaison between our customers and their insurance company. She works behind the scenes of every unique project and offers help with a smile.
Whitney has been a resident of central Ohio for her entire life. She is married and has four beautiful children. She loves her position with Shrock Restoration – Rainbow International of North Central Ohio because it allows her to live out her passion, helping people, especially those who are in need.
Water Mitigation Manager
Mark is our Water Mitigation Manager and has been working in water mitigation since 2007. He is there to answer all of your questions and wants you to know that we are on your side working to quickly mitigate water damage in your home or business.
Along with hands on field experience, he has also gained classroom experience learning new skills and methods through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration, covering all aspects of the water damage mitigation processes. Mark is a local resident of Holmes county and is active in the West Holmes Recreation league soccer program.
Large Loss Project Manager
At Shrock Restoration – Rainbow International of North Central Ohio, Atlee is responsible for total project management including controlling budgets, working with the insurance company as well as the customer, and providing day to day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. A team player, Atlee holds and excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, insurance agents and adjusters, and subcontractors, resulting in successful construction experiences.
As one of the founding employees of Rainbow, Atlee has been working with residential and commercial construction and restoration since 2007. He has a broad background in construction/restoration scenarios overseeing all phases of commercial, residential and custom projects.
In his role as Large Loss Project Manager, Atlee fosters an environment of teamwork and ensures that strategy is clearly defined while overseeing performance and maintaining morale. His strong communication and client service skills enhance Shrock Restoration- Rainbow International’s philosophies.
Atlee is accredited through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration in applied structural drying, fire and smoke, and water damage restoration.
Atlee has been a lifelong resident of Knox county. He enjoys hunting, fishing and taking trips with his wife and son.
Zac Hutchison has several years of combined restoration and estimating experience with Rainbow International of North Central Ohio. He began hands on as one of our lead water technicians. Zac has gained invaluable experience on how to properly mitigate water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm damage. Along with hands on field experience, he has also gained classroom experience learning new skills and methods through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration as well as advanced estimating classes for Xacitmate, the leading and most trusted insurance claims estimating software. With a background as a lead technician, Zac brings practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and resources to provide realistic and constructive cost analysis and estimating support.
Zac is the assistant chief firefighter for the local volunteer fire department. He is also a trained EMT, hazmat inspector, and state certified fire inspector. When he is not working, he enjoys waterfowl hunting and spending time with his friends and family.
The Shrock family of companies puts a huge emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. As Project Manager for Rainbow International, Steve’s heart lies in Customer Service. He takes great pride and satisfaction in helping people. One specific challenge that Steve strives to attain in his job, is clear communication, whether inside the office or with clients. He believes that this is vital to the success of each project and something that we can always improve upon. For Steve, success means assisting others that have had an unforeseen loss, then working to repair, rebuild, and restore not only their structures, but their lives in the process. His daily goal is to continue to become better at his job as Project Manager as he sees a job through from start to finish. Complete customer satisfaction is his destination.
Interestingly, Steve grew up in Arctic Canada (Inuvik, NWT) and went to Pensacola Christian College (Pensacola, Florida). His background is in the insurance industry, which Steve can use to help customers and coworkers. He currently resides in Wooster, Ohio with his wife. He is a proud father of one son, who is married and serving in the Air Force stationed in England. When not working on a job site, Steve enjoys spending his free time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, or golfing. He also enjoys watching the Columbus Blue Jackets.
A previous experience doing some work for Shrock, is what led David to be a part of Rainbow International/Shrock Restoration. He was drawn to the shared values which the Shrock Family of businesses operate by…values such as respect, integrity, and customer focus. As Project Manager, David oversees jobs from start to finish keeping things moving ahead, materials on site, communication lines open and records kept. Throughout the process, David enjoys helping others succeed. He also strives to be the best version of himself every day, because he knows that this is vital to the success of the project and to the satisfaction of his customers. David is especially skilled at time management, which is a priceless attribute in the restoration industry. The greatest reward for David is a happy customer at the end of each project!
David is married to the “woman of his dreams” and together they are raising a beautiful baby girl in the Killbuck, Ohio area. Their family loves spending time outdoors. David plays softball, enjoys hunting and archery, and is an Indians fan.
Water Technician / Plumber
James Weyhmeller began his career with Shrock Restoration Rainbow International September 2020. He was drawn to Shrock’s division of Rainbow International because of the team atmosphere where everyone is treated like family. In fact, James does have a sister, Whitney, who has been Rainbow’s office manager for many years. In James’ words,” If you want to become the best, you need to work for the best.”
He brings with him 8 years of plumbing experience, water restoration experience, and has obtained his IIRC water restoration certification. James is currently working towards his plumbing certification. He brings with him much more than experience; others say that James also has a big heart and a deep desire to learn and expand his knowledge. He strives daily to improve and become a top notch plumber and water restoration expert. The team at Rainbow International would also say that James certainly brings a welcome sense of humor and a positive energy to the workplace!
James grew up in the Bellville, Butler area of Ohio, otherwise known as the Clearfork Valley Region. He is happily married with two children. He considers his family his greatest achievement!! James is a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan, enjoys football and wrestling, and loves spending time outdoors hunting, camping, and spending quality time with his children.
Technition / Carpenter
Daniel Yoder, Restoration Specialist at Rainbow International, has been an invaluable part of the Rainbow team since 2017. And Daniel truly has his heart in his work and loves to tackle an impossible task; “the rest is sorta boring” in his words!! Since his own life has been both full of joy and great loss, Daniel can better understand the emotional turmoil that his clients must be dealing with whether due to fire damage, flood, or storm devastation. He knows that Rainbow isn’t just about fixing the material things which surround people, it is about restoring their lives, giving them peace of mind, and a renewed strength to continue. Daniel will admit that much of his life is work, work, and more work; however, along the way, he continues to plant many seeds of hope and joy.
Daniel’s ultimate goal in life is to someday operate his own ministry outreach in Honduras and Nicaragua and until then, he travels there each year to assist other missionaries. He is also a talented wood worker, and enjoys his three grown children, (two girls and one boy) as well as his 3 grandchildren (two girls and one boy).
